How to Tell If You're on the Road to Debt

1 - If your credit card usage is increasing but your income isn't then you might be in trouble. Start cutting up cards and stop making things worse.

2 - If you don't have enough money to pay the minimum amounts on your card debts. At that point you need to really think about resolving your debt issue.

3 - IF you're using one card to pay off another. At this point you're just creating more debt in an attempt to resolve other debt. At the end of the day that will just leave you with more debt.

4 - If you have more than 4 credit cards - 2 really should be the most you even consider having so if you have more you know you're in trouble.

5 - If credit cards are being used for everyday purposes such as food and drinks then you're using the cards for the wrong things and need to take a check on how much cash you have and how much debt you have.

6 - If you're approaching the limits on your credit cards you're living beyond your means and the debt will soon catch up with you. It isn't too late to fix things but you've got to start being more frugal or you'll end up under a mountain of debts.

7 - If you've gone past point 6 and actually hit the limit on your credit cards then the time has come to stop spending. Now!

8 - If you are using credit cards to pay for gambling. No matter how lucky you think you are you may well lose in the end and have no way of paying your debts.
